My church at Lynchburg Retreat in 2007. (I'm in the yellow shirt)
One day, the AWANA leaders gathered all the children together and asked if anyone wanted to receive Jesus into their heart. I remember scanning the room to see if anyone raised their hand. I decided that I would raise my hand because I saw that not many other kids did. Next, a leader escorted me to the front & another leader led me through the prayer to receive Jesus into my heart. I didn’t understand what I had done, but Jesus came into my heart that day. One year later, we started going to the Chinese Baptist Church of Richmond (CBCR), which I attended from 9 to 18 years old. When I was 15 years old, I attended the Lynchburg Retreat with CBCR. For the first time, the LORD spoke to me in a clear way by the Holy Spirit. God awakened me. I heard Him tell me that I wasn’t living for Him. Right then, I repented & God gave me hunger for a true relationship with Him instead of a relationship with rules.
Fast forward to 18 years old. A friend asked me to sing on his worship team. Thus, I was introduced to the Richmond International House of Prayer (RIHOP), a community of Christian believers dedicated to day & night prayer & worship. God made me fall deeper in love with Him through many nights of simply singing to Him. While seeking God for His direction, I felt impressed that He told me to “prepare the way of the LORD.” When He spoke that word to me, I had no idea what He was trying to say. In December 08’, I found out. At the OneThing Conference in Kansas City, MO at the International House of Prayer (IHOP), Mike Bickle (Founder) proclaimed that God was raising up messengers like John the Baptist to our generation (Luke 3:2-6). By God’s grace, I loved to spend hours in worship & prayer even before I knew what a house of prayer was. So I knew this was the calling God had for me-to ask God to release justice to the earth (Luke 18:7). He put me in a place where I fit best.

On my way to pray at the US Supreme Court, asking God to end abortion. One of the many things I did during the Burn Internship.
Last semester's Burn Interns went to Virginia Tech to strengthen the body of Christ on campus. I was a core group leader in this internship.
